Encore
Education Corporation is nonsectarian in its programs, admission
policies, employment practices, and all other operations. We do not
discriminate against any person based on ethnicity, national origin,
gender, or disability. Approved as a candidate for accreditation
through the Western Association of School and Colleges. Charter
schools follow the same legislation as any public school and must
adhere to the California Department of Education requirements. They are
funded by state and federal means and cannot charge tuition.
There is a $200 lab fee that will be requested each year to
help cover annual renewable costs in all departments.
The
mission of Encore Junior / Senior High School for the Performing &
Visual Arts is to provide a creative, challenging, and nurturing
environment that offers students innovative preparation for a
University education and pursuit of the arts.
With
an API score of 743 and the initial candidate for accreditation through
the Western Association of School and Colleges, graduates of Encore
have continued on to four year universities, two year city colleges,
technical schools, and the military.
First
opened in August of 2008, Encore has developed a balance of academic
education with a strong arts program including drama, dance, music,
visual arts, technical arts, vocal music, and creative writing.
This school is open to grades 7 through 12 and offers electives
for artists beginning to advanced.
