Singing High School students perform onstage as pop singers

These are the most advanced arts programs available on the Encore campus.  These programs may have some opportunities outside of the core program that have fees applied to them dependent on activities, but are the best kept secret and the best artist development value in Southern California.  Encore is offering two Artist Development programs in the 20/21 school year - PROFESSIONAL PERFORMANCE ARTIST PROGRAM and PROFESSIONAL FILM MAKERS PROGRAM.

The professional performance artist program is an artist development program for "triple threat performers."  This is a highly selective group that drives in through all over Southern California to take part in this unique development program.  It is a small program (up to 50 artists selected each year grades 9 - 12) where young artists are put through intensive arts training and given countless performance opportunities over the course of the school year.  The purpose of this program is to develop a triple threat performer, identify what brand they are, and how to promote themselves into a professional career.  It is a complete four year program that has been in operation since 2003 (even before Encore was a school).  Students that are a part of this program are enrolled in Encore's Hybrid academic program.  Their arts training and development is combined with Encore's pre college, A-G, accredited academic programs.

What is included in this program?

  • Three professional performing arts Honors classes each school year

  • Annual Industry Showcase where students are introduced to managers and agents

  • Annual public school tour, where students play various roles within the shows to develop their onstage expertise. (about 75 shows each year.)

  • Professional Headshots done annually

  • Master Classes, professional choreography, intense and rigorous training

  • Hands on experience on developing and executing social media, marketing, and branding

  • Guided feedback from professional teachers and industry development professionals

  • Mulitple Showcase Opportunities

There are two camp opportunities that are separate from the program, but available to people involved in the Professional Artist Development program.
